There are a few ways of doing it. And in fact the screen that I wanted to start off with here is because if you're using virtual box and you run into this scenario where you try to expand the window and then it gave you this little error message where it says could not switch the Monitor configuration
The easy way of fixing this is by simply rebooting. And so there's a few ways to do that. I'm going to show you the Linux way of doing it. So come up to where it says search your computer and just find the terminal
If the terminal is not listed right here, you can simply start searching for it until it comes up and then select it
and then once it comes up you can see that it's actually kind of hard to grab anything right here
That is a problem but all you have to do is type reboot right into the terminal hit enter.
And then it's going to go and it is going to restart the entire system. So it's a really helpful command to know because there are going to be plenty of times where you do need to reboot the system and that's how you can do it. And as you can see when I did that it brought it right back to the correct screen resolution.
So now we're not going to have that same screen error and we'll be able to navigate through the entire operating system and follow along using the screen that is actually going to be what we're looking for.
